“We have five pieces of equipment accredited through RadSite. Now I understand why my colleagues suggested we move to RadSite versus other programs. RadSite’s ability to understand and meet our needs is truly refreshing.”
Why is CMS recognition important?
The Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) of 2008 requires all providers who bill CMS for advanced diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, PET, and SPECT) to be accredited by an approved accrediting agency. RadSite is one of four such agencies—and the most cost-effective choice.
By using RadSite for accreditation, providers ensure that claims on Medicare/Medicaid patients will be paid properly. But the value is not limited to Medicare/Medicaid patients, since private payers often follow the lead of CMS in policies and procedures.
